The SHAKE UP project has published a new key deliverable titled “Mapping the seismic risk, average energy consumption and LCA of regions based on the current situation analysis”, led by the Valencian Building Institute (IVE).
This document brings together multiple indicators to help identify regions where low energy efficiency and high seismic vulnerability coexist. By combining these datasets, the mapping supports the prioritisation of interventions and strengthens evidence-based decision-making for public authorities and stakeholders working on building renovation and resilience strategies.
The mapping compiles data from six countries: Türkiye, Italy, Greece, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands. Indicators are organised into four thematic groups:
Building energy consumption
Urban resilience
Building Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
Seismic risk and building performance under earthquake events
The information is collected for each country and presented at different levels of detail, ranging from high-level geo-referenced mapping to less detailed datasets displayed on 2D maps, offering both strategic and practical insights.
