9 Sep 2026

The 18th European Conference on Earthquake Engineering (ECEE2026) will take place in Berlin, Germany, from 14 to 18 September 2026, bringing together researchers and decision-makers from across Europe and beyond to exchange knowledge and discuss the future of earthquake engineering and structural resilience.

The conference, organised by RPTU University of Kaiserslautern-Landau, TU Berlin and the German Association for Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics (DGEB), is expected to welcome more than 1,000 participants. Under the motto “Shaping the Future of Earthquake Engineering for a Safer and More Resilient World”, ECEE2026 will provide a platform for presenting research, exploring innovative technologies and fostering collaboration across the earthquake engineering community.

Some of SHAKE UP partners will be represented at ECEE2026 contributing to the exchange of knowledge and expertise around safer and more resilient buildings and infrastructure.

Their participation represents an opportunity to connect the work and perspectives developed within SHAKE UP with a broader European community working on resilience, structural safety and innovative approaches to the built environment.

The conference programme includes scientific contributions, special sessions, workshops and opportunities for discussion, providing a valuable setting for networking and sharing experiences with researchers and professionals from different disciplines.

By taking part in ECEE2026, SHAKE UP partners will contribute to strengthening connections between European research, innovation and practice, while bringing visibility to the project's activities and fostering new opportunities for knowledge exchange.
