Shake-Up Online Event: Presentation of the RISKADAPT Project Platform

17 Dec 2025

The RISKADAPT project will take center stage during an upcoming SHAKE-UP online event on Thursday, December 18th, from 13:00 to 16:00 (CET).

During the event, RISA Sicherheitsanalysen GmbH, coordinator of the RISKADAPT project, will present the initiative and unveil its platform, PRISKADAPT—an innovative, modular, and user-friendly tool designed to support systemic, risk-informed decision-making for climate change adaptation at the asset level.

The event will bring together experts, researchers, and project partners from across Europe, including representatives from the SHAKE UP project, to exchange insights on climate resilience and innovative adaptation strategies.

About RISKADAPT and PRISKADAPT

The RISKADAPT project aims to deliver a novel, integrated, modular, interoperable, and open-access platform, known as PRISKADAPT, developed in close cooperation with end-users and stakeholders. The platform will explicitly model dependencies between infrastructures, improving understanding of the links between climate hazards, social vulnerabilities, and resilience.

Through advanced climate science, structural and probabilistic analyses, and life-cycle assessment methods, PRISKADAPT will provide a Model Information System (MIS) that quantifies key indicators for each asset of interest—empowering decision-makers to plan and prioritize adaptation measures across Europe.

A key technical component of the system is TPRISKADAPT, the technical platform and integration layer that ensures the proper functioning, data management, and interoperability of PRISKADAPT within the broader RISKADAPT architecture.

RISA’s Role and Vision

As the coordinator of RISKADAPT, RISA leads the project’s high-level architecture, technical specifications, and integration activities, and oversees both TPRISKADAPT and the implementation of PRISKADAPT. RISA’s expertise spans probabilistic safety, decision-support systems, optimization, and data analysis, including applications in Big Data and IoT.

Beyond RISKADAPT, RISA coordinates several major European and national projects, such as ENVIROMED (Horizon Health 2021) and ECO-BOT (H2020). Its overarching vision includes expanding into the Earth Observation market, strengthening its role as a system integrator in the construction adaptation sector, and advancing data-driven decision-support software for climate resilience.

Aligned with the objectives of SHAKE-UP, RISKADAPT contributes to advancing systemic resilience and innovation in adaptation planning. This event will foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among leading initiatives committed to building a more resilient built environment.
