From 23 to 29 August 2026, the 14th International DHC+ Summer School will take place in Brescia, Italy, bringing together students, researchers, young professionals, and experts to explore the future of district heating and cooling. 

Organised by the DHC+ Platform of Euroheat & Power and hosted by A2A Calore & Servizi, this year's Summer School is dedicated to the theme "Energy recovery for district heating as a pathway to the energy transition in a circular economy." 

Over the course of one week, participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of district heating and cooling through lectures, technical site visits, interactive workshops, and networking sessions. The programme will focus on innovative approaches to recovering waste heat from sources such as industry, data centres, wastewater treatment plants, and other sectors, highlighting their role in supporting Europe's transition to a more sustainable and circular energy system. 

The Summer School offers a valuable learning experience for anyone interested in sustainable energy, district heating and cooling, and the latest technological and policy developments in the sector. It also provides a unique opportunity to connect with experts, practitioners, and fellow participants from across Europe.
